Last week, the vibrant sounds of music filled the air as members of the South Belfast Late Choir, Lisburn Late Choir, and Lisburn Morning Choir came together for an unforgettable concert at the Age Friendly Futures Summit. Led by the enthusiastic Clare Galway, the performance truly resonated with our local community spirit. The event was free and welcomed everyone, creating a warm atmosphere where family and friends gathered to cheer on their loved ones. Despite the uncertainty of the weather, which thankfully turned out to be perfect for an indoor gathering, the excitement was palpable. Many choir members arrived early, buzzing with enthusiasm and perhaps a bit of glitter to add that extra sparkle to the occasion! As the singers took their places, harmonies filled the venue, showcasing the dedication and passion of our local choirs. The concert featured an array of well-loved songs that had everyone clapping along. From the upbeat energy of "Shake A Tailfeather" to the heartfelt tones of "Hallelujah," there was something for everyone. We also enjoyed classics like "Super Trouper," "Sweet Child of Mine," and the feel-good anthem "Roll With It." Each performance was met with cheers and applause, reflecting the joy of singing together and the strong community ties we cherish. In the spirit of giving back, the concert aimed to raise awareness for local initiatives that support our community, further highlighting the importance of connection through music. This event was a beautiful reminder of how powerful singing can be in bringing people together, and we can't wait for the next opportunity to share our love for music with everyone!Performance location: Titanic Belfast, Olympic Way, BT3 9EP

Here is a quote about our choir – ‘I looked for years for somewhere to sing with others, but never found a group that sang a wide range of songs that you looked forward to singing with a smile on your face and a swing in the hips. Rock Choir arrived and filled that void, I’m still smiling.’ – Isabel (Rock Choir Member)
