What a fantastic day we had at the Asda Blantyre concert, where members from the Greenock, Hamilton, Paisley & Houston, and Helensburgh choirs joined forces for a truly memorable performance! Led by the inspiring Jen Bonnar, our choir took the stage with enthusiasm, showcasing the talents of both seasoned singers and newcomers who dazzled us with their very first appearance. Jen praised everyone for their professionalism, and it was heartwarming to see the support from friends and family in the audience, clapping and cheering along. Though the skies were threatening rain, we were grateful to be indoors, allowing us to focus on what we do best—sing our hearts out! Choir members arrived early to soak in the excitement, and it took a bit of time to get everyone into their harmony parts, but the energy was electric. Our setlist was a delightful mix of well-loved tunes, from the anthemic "Don't Stop Me Now" to the heartfelt "Haven't Met You Yet," and even the high-energy "Flashdance." We also treated the audience to classic hits like "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" and "Unwritten," leaving everyone humming along. This concert was not just about music; it also raised awareness and funds for Tickled Pink, a charity focused on supporting breast cancer research and awareness. It was wonderful to contribute to a cause that touches so many lives, right in our community. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this event a success! We can't wait for our next community choir gathering—there's nothing quite like the joy of singing together.Performance location: Asda Blantyre, Glasgow Road, G72 0AQ

Here’s a quote about the choir – ‘Rock Choir has given me a new dimension in life – I joined after my dad died as I knew I needed something new to focus on. I come down to choir on the train from home and in the winter waiting around at a freezing station is not very appealing when its lovely and warm at home, but I never want to miss a session no matter how tired, cold or grumpy I feel. When my husband picks me up he always says the same thing – I am always bubbly and happy and looking forward to the next week.’ – Liz (Rock Choir Member)
