There is an old Swedish proverb the says ‘Those who wish to sing always find a song’ and as amateurs pursuing our passion it was a pleasure to do this performance for the local community. This show for Bridgwater Food n Drink Festival – Bridgwater involved choir members from across the area for the Cornhill, Bridgwater & TA6 3BY choirs. They were led by their choir leader Mike Aris. A particular well done goes to the choir members who were performing for their first time. Mike is so thrilled with the performance went and how we were getting right to the heart of the local community. The event was FREE to attend.

We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. Some members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and engaging in a little local retail therapy, additionally there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. It was uplifting to see the support of family and friends of the choir members, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Green Green Grass’ by George Ezra and the wonderful ‘Shake a Tailfeather’ from the Blues Brothers movie. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.
