Bronwen’s 100th Birthday Party

When: 17 January 2026 at 3:00 pm

What a wonderful day it was for our local choirs in Monmouth, Chepstow, Abergavenny, and Newport! Led by the ever-enthusiastic Karl Montgomery-Williams, we gathered for an unforgettable concert filled with music, joy, and community spirit. The weather was surprisingly cooperative, with overcast skies that held off the rain, allowing us to perform indoors with a cozy atmosphere that made the experience even more special. Excitement buzzed in the air as members arrived early, eager to take the stage. For some, it was their very first performance, and the thrill was palpable. The concert showcased a fantastic mix of family support and enthusiastic audience members who came out to enjoy the show. It was heartwarming to see so many friends and relatives cheering on our singers, creating a vibrant and uplifting environment. We filled the hall with a variety of songs that had everyone tapping their feet and clapping along. From the upbeat "Flashdance... What a Feeling" to the heartfelt "A Thousand Years," our repertoire had something for everyone. Other highlights included classics like "Sweet Child of Mine" and the soulful "Shallow," which resonated deeply with the audience. Each note sung was a testament to our passion for music and the joy of coming together as a community. This concert wasn’t just about the music; it also aimed to raise awareness and support for local initiatives. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this event a success, from the choir members to our dedicated families and friends. Here’s to many more joyful singing experiences together in our thriving community choir!
