Any day where we get to sing is a great day! This appearance for Chatsworth Gardens Easter Gig had Rock Choir members from the Matlock, Chesterfield Late/Early, Rotherham, Worksop & West Sheffield Early choirs led by their choir leader Tom Rigby. Tom was immensely pleased with the performance and that everyone was getting to perform in the local community. The performance was FREE.
It was threatening rain showers before the performance and rain it did through the gig. Some choir members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! Friends and family of the choir members filled the audience, creating an atmosphere of warmth and support. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Shake a Tailfeather’ from the Blues Brothers movie and the wonderful ‘Best Of My Love’ by The Emotions.
