In the spirit of the old Swedish proverb, "Those who wish to sing always find a song," our recent concert was a heartfelt celebration of music and community. Held to support Children In Need, the event brought together talented members from the Northampton AM and PM Higham Ferrers Market Harborough choirs, all led by the enthusiastic Dave Easter. It was a joy to witness so many first-time performers take the stage, their smiles radiant as they shared their passion with friends, family, and a welcoming audience. Despite the overcast skies, the rain held off, allowing us to perform indoors, creating a cozy atmosphere filled with excitement. Many choir members arrived early, buzzing with anticipation as they took their places in harmony. The community spirit was palpable, with a lovely mix of family support and local residents enjoying the uplifting melodies. The evening featured a fantastic lineup of well-loved songs, including the soulful sounds of "Somewhere Only We Know" and the upbeat vibes of "Roll With It." Each performance resonated with laughter and applause, as the joy of singing brought everyone together. Beyond the music, our concert also focused on a noble cause, supporting Children In Need, which works tirelessly to help children and young people across the UK. **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
