The recent concert featuring the Northampton AM & PM and Higham Ferrers Market Harborough choirs, led by the talented Dave Easter, was a heartwarming celebration of music and community. For many of our newer members, this performance marked their very first live outing with the choir, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement and anticipation. As Dave proudly noted, “The choir members did so well; everyone was truly professional in their performance and deserved to be up there.” Held indoors amidst overcast skies, the rain kindly held off, allowing the joy of music to shine through. Early arrivals enjoyed the thrill of performing, with some probably sneaking in a bit more glitter to add that extra sparkle! Friends and family filled the audience, their clapping and cheers creating a supportive backdrop that made the experience even more special. The concert featured an array of beloved songs that resonated with everyone present. The choir delivered stirring renditions of classics like “Somewhere Only We Know” and the upbeat anthem “Roll With It,” showcasing their versatility and passion for music. Each note brought smiles to faces and even had some children dancing in the aisles! Beyond the music, this event was also dedicated to a noble cause, supporting Children In Need. This charity works tirelessly to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children across the UK, making a real difference in local communities. **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
