What a fantastic day it was at the Fordbridge Community Centre, where the joy of singing filled the air! Members from the Woking, Weybridge, Staines, Alton, and Camberley choirs came together, led by the energetic Danny Gortler. For many newer members, this marked their first live performance, and they shone brightly on stage. Danny praised the choir, saying, "The choir members did so well; everyone was truly professional in their performance and deserved to be up there." Although we missed the sunshine, the indoor setting created a cozy atmosphere for our audience, filled with the warm support of family and friends. It was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces, creating an inviting ambiance that made the concert all the more special. Some choir members arrived hours early, buzzing with excitement and taking their time to find their harmony parts. The concert featured a delightful mix of well-loved songs, including the iconic rock anthem "Sweet Child o' Mine" by Guns N' Roses and the soulful classic "For Once In My Life" by Stevie Wonder. Each note soared through the hall, bringing joy and connection to everyone present. In addition to the music, we were thrilled to support a wonderful local charity, the British Red Cross, whose important work focuses on helping those in need within our community. To learn more about their initiatives, you can visit the British Red Cross official site. A big thank you to all the prefects who helped make the day run smoothly. It truly was a celebration of community, music, and the uplifting power of singing together!Performance location: Fordbridge Community Centre, Clarendon Road, Ashford TW15 2QA
