There is an old Swedish proverb the says ‘Those who wish to sing always find a song’ and as amateurs pursuing our passion it was a pleasure to do this performance for the local community. This musical performance for Fundraiser For New Hope Animal Rescue In Memory Of Peter Gasson had Rock Choir members from the Bexleyheath & Eltham choirs. They were led by their choir leader Michael Fricker. Some new choir members were appearing onstage for the very first time! Well done to them! Michael wants to say how proud of everyone they are. The event was FREE.
We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. A good few members arrived very early due the excitement of performing and there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. Friends and family of the choir members filled the audience, creating an atmosphere of warmth and support. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘I Wanna Be The Only One’ by Eternal along with the wonderful ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ by Keane. Beyond the music, this performance had a noble cause and was in aid of New Hope Animal Rescue. Many thanks go to the prefects who were there on the day helping.

I am very proud of the choir and I find rehearsals inspiring as people are so friendly and the singing so uplifting.’ – Jim (Rock Choir Member)
