What a wonderful day it was at the Hazlemere Fete, where the spirit of community and the joy of music came together! Our Rock Choir family, featuring talented members from Amersham, Hemel Hempstead, Welwyn Garden City, Luton, and Dunstable, gathered under the direction of the ever-enthusiastic Liz Shea. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter, applause, and the smiles of friends and family supporting their loved ones on stage. Despite the overcast sky, we were fortunate that the rain held off, allowing us to perform outside under a lovely canopy. The audience was buzzing with excitement as our choir members took their positions, harmonizing beautifully together. For many, it was their first live performance, and Liz couldn't have been prouder, remarking on how professional everyone was. The concert featured a delightful mix of well-loved songs that had everyone tapping their feet. From the heartwarming "The Power of Love" to the upbeat "Club Tropicana," and the touching "A Thousand Years," each piece showcased the incredible talent of our choir. The joyous energy was palpable, especially when we launched into classic anthems like "Sweet Child of Mine" and "I'll Be There for You," bringing smiles to faces young and old. It was a day filled with music, laughter, and community spirit, reminding us all why we love to sing together. We look forward to more moments like these, celebrating the joy of music and togetherness in our local area!Performance location: Sir William Ramsay School, Rose Avenue, Hazlemere, High Wycombe, HP15 7UB
