Henry Bradley Nursery and Infant School Summer Fair

When: 5 July 2025 at 1:00 pm

What a delightful day it was for our community choir, as we gathered to share our love of music at the Henry Bradley Nursery and Infant School Summer Fair! The sun peeped through the partly cloudy skies, creating a perfect backdrop for our outdoor performance. Choir members from Chesterfield am, Chesterfield pm, Matlock, Rotherham, and Worksop came together under the enthusiastic guidance of our wonderful choir leader, Rachel Modest. With excitement buzzing in the air, many of us arrived early, perhaps to sprinkle on a little extra glitter before taking the stage. For some members, it was their first live performance, and the joy was palpable as we stepped into the spotlight. The audience, filled with family and friends, clapped along, creating a warm atmosphere that truly reflected our close-knit community spirit. We treated everyone to a medley of well-loved songs, including 'Call Me' by Blondie and the uplifting 'Roll With It' by Oasis. Other highlights featured 'This Is Me' from *The Greatest Showman*, the classic 'Sweet Child of Mine', and the infectious 'Club Tropicana'. Each note resonated with smiles, laughter, and even a few children dancing in the grass! Our performance was not just about the music but also about supporting a fantastic cause. The event was free, yet we raised awareness for our local charity, which plays a vital role in community development. For more about their amazing work, you can visit the local charity's official site. As the last note faded, we felt a collective sense of accomplishment and connection. A huge thank you to the prefects who helped make the day a success, and to everyone who joined us in celebrating music and community. Here’s to many more joyful singing adventures together!
