Junction 32, Good Friday

by | Mar 30, 2024 | Concerts | 0 comments

When: 29 March 2024 at 1:00 pm

Any day when we get to sing our hearts out is a great day. This gig for Junction 32 Good Friday saw choir members appear live from the Roundhay, Horsforth, Wakefield, Ilkley & Keighley choirs. They were led by their choir leader Ainjiel-shaolee clark. Some members were appearing onstage for the first time with the choir. Ainjiel-shaolee wants to say how proud of everyone they are. The event was FREE.

It was threatening rain showers before the performance and rain it did for the gig. Some choir members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! It was brilliant to see the support of family and friends of the choir members, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran and ‘Wake Me Up before you Go Go’ by Wham. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.

Performance location: Junction 32, Tomahawk Trail, Castleford, WF10 4FR

Price: FREE

I have made really good friends and it has certainly raised my confidence!! A year ago would never have attempted a solo but now enjoy the challenge. Rock Choir is really good fun and I do love singing anyway.’ – Pauline (Rock Choir Member)
