What a fantastic day it was! We gathered for a lively concert at Knellwood Care Home, bringing together the talented singers from the Camberley AM and Camberley PM choirs under the guidance of our incredible choir leader, Danny Gortler. Danny praised the choir members for their professionalism, and it was clear that everyone was ready to shine. Despite the overcast skies, we were relieved that the rain stayed away, allowing us to perform outdoors. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as family and friends filled the audience, clapping and cheering us on as we took our positions, harmonizing beautifully. Our setlist was a mix of classic hits that had everyone smiling and singing along. We treated the audience to unforgettable songs like "Hold the Line," an upbeat tune by Toto, and the heartfelt "Someone You Loved" by Lewis Capaldi. We also rocked out to "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" from Aerosmith and wrapped up the concert with the uplifting "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire. Each song resonated with the crowd, bringing joy and a sense of community to the day. A special thank you to the prefects who lent a helping hand, making the event run smoothly. It was a true celebration of music, connection, and the spirit of giving back. We’re proud to have supported a local charity through this performance, showcasing the power of music to bring people together. If you're looking to join a fun local singing group, consider checking out community choirs in your area. Singing together can be a truly enriching experience, and we can't wait to do it all over again!Performance location: Knellwood War Memorial Care Home, 83 Canterbury Rd, Farnborough GU14 6QN

The pieces are broken down so you are able to learn them and you can also download songs to practise at home. Its a great way to release the stresess of life. Singing can help you to releases’ happy hormones’ which make you feel happy and you leave in a better state of mind. It has helped me through a difficult time. It is fun. The people are welcoming and friendly.’ – Angela (Rock Choir member)
