The recent concert featuring the Lisburn Morning, Lisburn Late, and South Belfast Late choirs was an unforgettable celebration of music and community spirit, expertly led by the talented Clare Galway. The atmosphere was electric as choir members took the stage, especially those performing for the first time, who showcased their passion and dedication. Clare beamed with pride, praising everyone for their clarity in singing and impressive dance moves. While the exact weather is a mystery, the joy of singing together brightly filled the indoor venue, creating a cozy ambiance. Many Rock Choir members arrived early, likely excited to perform and sprinkle a little extra glitter on their already dazzling outfits. Friends and family gathered to support their loved ones, turning the concert into a heartwarming event filled with applause and smiles. The choir delighted the audience with a selection of well-known songs, including the uplifting “Green Green Grass” by George Ezra and the lively “Shake a Tailfeather” from the iconic Blues Brothers movie. Each performance resonated with energy and enthusiasm, showcasing the diverse repertoire that these talented choirs have been working on. A special mention goes to the prefects who were on hand to assist and ensure everything ran smoothly throughout the event. Their support contributed to the overall success of the day, making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved. **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
