The recent concert at Loxley Park Retirement Village was a heartwarming celebration of community spirit, showcasing the incredible talents of the West Sheffield choir, led by the ever-enthusiastic Ainjiel-Shaolee Clark. Ainjiel-Shaolee couldn't hide her pride, exclaiming how brilliant everyone was, not just in their singing but also in their lively dance moves! The event was free to attend, drawing in a wonderful crowd of friends and family who clapped and cheered throughout the performance. Despite the partly cloudy weather, the atmosphere inside was vibrant and filled with joy. Many Rock Choir members arrived early, bubbling with excitement and perhaps adding a sprinkle of glitter to their outfits. A few singers from nearby choirs joined in, creating a lovely blend of voices that filled the room. The concert featured a delightful mix of well-known songs that had everyone singing along. From the uplifting "A Little Respect" and the catchy "Next To Me" to the festive cheer of "Winter Wonderland" and "Merry Christmas Everyone," it was a musical journey that resonated with all ages. As the choir harmonized on classics like "Sweet Child Of Mine" and "What Christmas Means To Me," smiles were abundant, and the warmth of the holiday season was in the air. This event was more than just a performance; it raised awareness and funds for a local charity, contributing to its important work in the community. It was a fantastic reminder of how music can bring people together, spark joy, and create lasting memories. The West Sheffield choir is a huge part of the community. The local Rock Choir group is led by vocal teacher Ainjiel-Shaolee Clark.

**STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
