Any day when we get to sing our hearts out is a great day. This event for Marylebone Christmas Lights Switch On involved choir members from across the area for the Waterloo, Hampstead & Ealing choirs led by their choir leader Valerie Turnbull. A big well done to those members fro whom it was their first live performance Valerie said ‘They loved it and the audience were great too! We had a really nice mix of choir members families supporting and the general public there watching the choir sing.’ This was FREE to attend.
We were performing inside. We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. Some members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and engaging in a little local retail therapy, additionally there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. It was super to see a great number of friends and family were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing’ by Aerosmith and the wonderful ‘Flashdance…What A Feeling’ by Irene Cara. Beyond the enchanting music, this appearance had another purpose. It was organized in aid of N/A. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.
Performance location: Marylebone Christmas Village, Devonshire Street
