What a fantastic day it was when the Gravesend AM & PM choirs took to the stage at Millbrook Garden Centre to celebrate its 30th birthday! Led by the ever-enthusiastic Paul Gostling, choir members from across the area gathered, filling the air with joyous harmonies that brought smiles all around. It was a heartwarming sight, especially as some members were performing for the very first time. Their excitement was infectious, creating a vibrant atmosphere that echoed throughout the garden centre. The weather was a bit of a mystery, but thankfully, we performed indoors, allowing us to focus entirely on our music and the wonderful audience that came to support us. Many friends and family members turned out to cheer us on, and we could feel the warmth of community spirit all around. A special shoutout goes to those members who arrived early, bubbling with anticipation, and to the singers from nearby choirs who joined us to make the event even more special. Our repertoire featured a mix of beloved classics, including the upbeat and catchy "Green Green Grass" by George Ezra and the soulful "Best Of My Love" by The Emotions. Each song brought its own magic, inviting the audience to clap along and even sway a little as we shared our passion for music. The concert was a beautiful reminder of the joy that singing brings to our lives and the connections we create through it. Huge thanks to everyone who contributed to making this day memorable! **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
