Choir members appeared from the Bolton, Middleton & Saddleworth choirs led by their choir leader Xander-Jaymes Le Petit. Some members were appearing live for the every first time! Xander-Jaymes Le said ‘They loved it and the audience were great too! We had a really nice mix of choir members families supporting and the general public there watching the choir sing.’ The event was FREE to attend.
We were performing inside. We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. Some members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and engaging in a little local retail therapy, additionally there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. It was brilliant to see a great number of friends and relatives were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Two Hearts’ by Phil Collins along with ‘Mountain’ by Sam Ryder. The musical performance was in aid of Manchester Mind. Many thanks go to the prefects who were there on the day helping.

**STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
