On a delightful day in Sevenoaks, the community gathered for a heartwarming concert featuring the talented members of the Sevenoaks Late Choir and Tonbridge Late Choir, led by the ever-enthusiastic Katherine Tye. The excitement in the air was palpable as friends and family filled the audience, creating a warm atmosphere of support and celebration. The concert, which was free for all attendees, showcased an array of lively performances that had everyone tapping their feet and clapping along. With a repertoire that included crowd-pleasers like "Green Green Grass" by George Ezra and the soulful "Best Of My Love" by The Emotions, the singers brought joy to the hearts of everyone present. Other highlights included classic hits such as "Sweet Child of Mine" and a spirited rendition of "Shake a Tail Feather," ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. Beyond the music, this event held a special purpose, as it was in aid of Hospice in the Weald, which provides invaluable support to those in need within the community. For more information on their important work, you can visit the Hospice in the Weald official site. Despite the weather not cooperating, with a few drops that hinted at rain, the concert went on indoors, allowing the singers to shine brightly without any distractions. Many choir members arrived hours early, embracing the local vibe with a bit of retail therapy before the show. As they took their places, the anticipation built, and eventually, the harmonies blended beautifully, creating a magical experience that resonated with everyone involved. With smiles all around and a true sense of community spirit, the concert was a resounding success, leaving all who attended looking forward to the next opportunity to sing together.Performance location: Sevenoaks Rugby Club, Plymouth Dr, Sevenoaks TN13 3RP

Here is a quote about our choir – ‘Rock Choir is a way for people to express themselves musically in an environment which normally would not allow them to do so. I bet a pound to a pinch of salt there are thousands of guys and girls in the UK itching to sing but are too embarrassed or worried what others may think, and let’s face it, if it makes people happy then come on UK lets get behind them!!! Rock Choir is the wonderful innovative idea which is the brain child of Caroline Redman Lusher who I have had the privilege of working with over the past 12 months. Live the dream guys.’ – Gary Chilton (Double-platinum selling singer with ‘The Soldiers’)
