NSPCC Braehead

When: 29 November 2023 at 1:00 am

Last weekend, the Greenock Paisley Hamilton choir had the joy of sharing their love for music with the local community at a delightful concert for NSPCC. Led by the talented Jen Bonnar, the performance was a true celebration of song, with several members taking to the stage for the first time. The atmosphere was electric as friends and family gathered to cheer them on, filling the venue with warmth and excitement. Despite the uncertain weather, everyone was thrilled to be indoors, where the sound of harmonies and laughter blended beautifully. The choir was joined by a few members from nearby choirs, creating a sense of unity that made the event even more special. The audience clapped enthusiastically, and children danced with joy, embodying the community spirit that music brings. The choir’s repertoire included some well-loved classics that had the audience humming along. They performed iconic hits like "Sweet Child o' Mine" by Guns N' Roses and the uplifting "For Once In My Life" by Stevie Wonder, along with festive favorites such as "Merry Christmas Everyone" and "Carol of the Bells." Each song was a testament to the power of music to bring people together and create lasting memories. This wonderful concert not only showcased the incredible talent of the choir members but also raised awareness and funds for NSPCC, an organization dedicated to protecting children and supporting families in need. The smiles, laughter, and shared love of music reminded us all why we sing together. Here’s to many more joyful performances in our community!
