There is an old Swedish proverb the says ‘Those who wish to sing always find a song’ and as amateurs pursuing our passion it was a pleasure to do this performance for the local community. This appearance for Pearly Harvest Festival involved choir members from across the area for the Bexleyheath, Blackheath, Bromley, Eltham & Petts Wood choirs. Leading them, was their amazing choir leader Michael Fricker. Michael said ‘The choir members did so well, everyone was truly professional in their performance and deserved to be up there.’ The performance was FREE.
We were performing inside. We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! Friends and relatives of the choir members filled the audience, creating an atmosphere of warmth and support. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘I Wanna Be The Only One’ by Eternal and ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ by Keane. Beyond the music, this performance had a noble cause and was in aid of https://pearlysociety.org.uk/. Many thanks go to the prefects who were there on the day helping.

Here is a quote about the Rock Choir – ‘Rock Choir is a way for people to express themselves musically in an environment which normally would not allow them to do so. I bet a pound to a pinch of salt there are thousands of guys and girls in the UK itching to sing but are too embarrassed or worried what others may think, and let’s face it, if it makes people happy then come on UK lets get behind them!!! Rock Choir is the wonderful innovative idea which is the brain child of Caroline Redman Lusher who I have had the privilege of working with over the past 12 months. Live the dream guys.’ – Gary Chilton (Double-platinum selling singer with ‘The Soldiers’)
