There is an old Swedish proverb the says ‘Those who wish to sing always find a song’ and as amateurs pursuing our passion it was a pleasure to do this performance for the local community. This gig for Performance for Global Care featured choir members from the Durham choir. They were led by their choir leader Rob Slater. Some members were appearing onstage for the first time with the choir. Rob said ‘The choir members did so well, everyone was truly professional in their performance and deserved to be up there.’ The event was FREE.
We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. Some choir members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. It was awesome to see a great number of friends and family were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Two Hearts’ by Phil Collins together with ‘Mountain’ by Sam Ryder. The production was in aid of Global Care. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.
