There is an old Swedish proverb the says ‘Those who wish to sing always find a song’ and as amateurs pursuing our passion it was a pleasure to do this performance for the local community. This performance for Potter’s ‘Arf Marathon featured choir members from the Stone, Stafford AM, Stafford PM, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Market Drayton & Leek choirs. Leading them, was their talented choir leader Beverley Mason. Beverley said ‘I am so proud of everyone who performed, just brilliant they were, sang so clearly and great at the dance moves too!’ This was FREE to attend.
We were performing inside. We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! It was out of this world to see the support of relatives and friends of the choir members, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Club Tropicana’ by Wham! along with the wonderful ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ by Keane. Beyond the enchanting music, this production had another purpose. It was organized in aid of NA. Many thanks go to the prefects who were there on the day helping.
