Rock Choir performance at Godswell Park Care Home

When: 25 January 2025 at 3:00 pm

What a delightful day it was at Godswell Park Care Home, where the magic of music brought smiles and joy to everyone present! The sun shone brightly as members from the Banbury, Aylesbury, Bicester, and Towcester Rock Choirs came together under the enthusiastic guidance of our choir leader, Liga Milune. For many of our newer members, this was their first live performance, and it was heartwarming to see their excitement mirrored by the supportive audience. Families and friends filled the space, clapping and cheering, creating a vibrant atmosphere that truly uplifted the spirit of the event. Some choir members even made a day of it, indulging in a little local retail therapy before hitting the stage. The camaraderie was palpable, especially with a few singers from nearby choirs joining us to add to the harmony. Our setlist included crowd-pleasers like "Two Hearts" by Phil Collins and the uplifting "Mountain" by Sam Ryder, along with the lively "Green Green Grass." Each song resonated through the park, drawing smiles from the audience and prompting a few children to dance along in joy. We were thrilled to support the local charity, which focuses on enhancing community connections and providing vital services to those in need. If you're interested in learning more about their impactful work, check out their website at British Red Cross official site. As we wrapped up the performance, the sounds of applause and laughter lingered in the air, reminding us that any day filled with singing is indeed a wonderful day!
