Last weekend, the air was filled with excitement as the Bicester, Towcester, Aylesbury, and Banbury choirs gathered for a delightful concert led by the talented Liga Milune. With the threat of rain looming overhead, we were relieved to share our music indoors, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone attending. It was heartwarming to see so many friends and family members in the audience, clapping along and cheering us on. The excitement was palpable as many members took to the stage for the first time, their smiles lighting up the room. A few familiar faces from nearby choirs joined us, adding to the community spirit that makes these events so special. Some members even arrived early, likely fueled by the thrill of performing and perhaps a touch of glitter! Our set list featured a fantastic mix of songs that got everyone singing along. We kicked things off with 'Mountain' by Sam Ryder, a powerful anthem that resonated with the audience. We also rocked out with 'Learn to Fly' by the Foo Fighters, bringing a burst of energy that had everyone tapping their feet and swaying to the rhythm. In addition to sharing our love for music, we were proud to support a local charity dedicated to [Charity Name and brief description of its work]. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community while showcasing our passion for singing. **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
