Any day where we get to sing is a great day! Choir members appeared from the Exeter, Exmouth & Honiton choirs. Leading them, was their fantastic choir leader Carey Camel. Carey was immensely pleased with the performance and that everyone was getting to perform in the local community. The event was FREE to attend.
We were performing inside. We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. A good few members arrived very early due the excitement of performing and there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. Friends and family of the choir members filled the audience, creating an atmosphere of warmth and support. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Shake a Tailfeather’ from the Blues Brothers movie together with ‘Best Of My Love’ by The Emotions. Beyond the enchanting music, this production had another purpose. It was organized in aid of None. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.

About the choir
The Exeter, Exmouth & Honiton choirs are a huge part of their community. The Rock Choir groups are led by local vocal tutor Carey Camel.
Like what you see? You too can join the choir in Exeter, Exmouth & Honiton or our other choirs across the whole of the UK to make new friends, have adventures and get involved in singing locally. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon ‘Big Heart’ Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
Here is a quote about our choir – ‘I spend many hours every day driving and in meetings. It’s often quite a struggle to get to Rock Choir and I often don’t really feel like making the effort. Something magic happens when I get there – a combination of the unfailing cheerfulness of our Rock Choir tutor, the physical movement, breathing and singing, the (usually!) lovely sound of the combined voices of the choir – suddenly the stress of the day melts away, energy returns and a feeling of well-being arrives. It’s been a difficult year for me – got divorced, my best friend with terminal illness passed away and I survived a tricky restructure at work, Rock Choir has often been the one really positive highlight in my week – thank you!’ – Sue (Rock Choir Member)
