Rose Lodge Care Home

When: 24 February 2024 at 1:00 am

What a fantastic day it was for the Exeter, Exmouth, and Honiton choirs as they gathered to perform at Rose Lodge Care Home! Led by the talented Carey Camel, the event brought together seasoned singers and enthusiastic newcomers, many of whom graced the stage for the very first time. Their excitement was contagious, and it truly felt like a celebration of community spirit and musical joy. As the audience filled with supportive friends and family, the atmosphere buzzed with warmth and anticipation. Choir members arrived early, eager to share their love of music and connect with the residents. Though the weather kept us indoors, the energy inside was electric, with laughter and chatter echoing through the halls. The choir's repertoire included some beloved hits that had everyone tapping their feet. They kicked off with 'Green Green Grass' by George Ezra, a cheerful tune that brought smiles all around. Who could resist joining in on the fun of 'Shake a Tailfeather' from the Blues Brothers? It was a delightful mix of genres that had the audience clapping along and even a few children dancing in delight. With each performance, the choir's professionalism shone through, and Carey couldn’t have been prouder. This event was a beautiful reminder of how music can bring people together, creating unforgettable memories and fostering a sense of belonging. A heartfelt thank you to all who participated and supported this wonderful day of song and community!
