Run to Anfield

When: 8 September 2024 at 1:00 am

What a fantastic day it was at our recent concert, where we truly sang our hearts out! Choir members from the Wrexham, Mold, Colwyn Bay, West Kirby, Wirral, and Liverpool choirs came together, led by the inspiring Rebecca Broadbere. It was a momentous occasion for many, as some singers performed live for the very first time. The atmosphere was electric, filled with excitement and the warm support of family and friends who came to cheer us on, clapping along and making it a joyful community event. Though we can’t quite recall the weather, everyone was thrilled to be there, sharing smiles and harmonies. Many of us arrived early, buzzing with enthusiasm and perhaps ready to add a sprinkle of glitter to our performances! With members from various local choirs, it took a bit of time to get everyone into position, but the sense of camaraderie made it all worthwhile. The repertoire was a delightful mix of well-loved songs that had everyone singing along. We brought the house down with hits like the upbeat 'Club Tropicana' by Wham!, and the heartfelt 'I Wanna Be The Only One' by Eternal. It felt like a reunion, as we rediscovered the joy of music after a summer break. Beyond the enchanting melodies, this recital had a purpose as it raised awareness and funds for the LFC Foundation, which supports local initiatives that uplift our community. It was a privilege to contribute to such a worthy cause while sharing our passion for singing. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success! Here’s to the joy of music, community spirit, and many more concerts to come!
