The recent performance by the Cheshunt, Chingford, Epping, and Harlow choirs was a heartwarming celebration of community spirit, led by the fantastic Sally Creedon. Our members, some of whom were gracing the stage for the very first time, brought their energy and enthusiasm to a delightful lunch for senior citizens. The atmosphere was electric, with family and friends cheering us on, creating a truly inviting space filled with joy and laughter. As we gathered to sing, the sun shone brightly, and despite the excitement in the air, we were thrilled to perform indoors. Many members arrived early, buzzing with anticipation for the chance to connect with our audience through music. It was wonderful to see familiar faces from nearby choirs joining us, amplifying the sense of camaraderie and support. We serenaded our listeners with a selection of well-loved songs from our repertoire. Highlights included the festive cheer of "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday" by Roy Wood, a classic that had everyone tapping their feet, and the soulful "For Once In My Life" by Stevie Wonder, which resonated deeply with the crowd. Each note and lyric was met with smiles and applause, creating a delightful chorus of appreciation. This performance not only brought joy through music but also supported a local charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors in our community. Their work helps to foster connections and provide essential services, making our event all the more meaningful. As we wrapped up, the clapping and laughter echoed through the hall, leaving us all with a warm glow. It was a day filled with shared passion for singing, community spirit, and the joy of making memories together. We can’t wait for the next opportunity to lift our voices in harmony!Performance location: Budworth Hall, High Street, Ongar, CM5 9JG

Here is a quote about our choir – ‘Rock Choir is a way for people to express themselves musically in an environment which normally would not allow them to do so. I bet a pound to a pinch of salt there are thousands of guys and girls in the UK itching to sing but are too embarrassed or worried what others may think, and let’s face it, if it makes people happy then come on UK lets get behind them!!! Rock Choir is the wonderful innovative idea which is the brain child of Caroline Redman Lusher who I have had the privilege of working with over the past 12 months. Live the dream guys.’ – Gary Chilton (Double-platinum selling singer with ‘The Soldiers’)
