When: 4 November 2023 at 1:00 am
Choir members appeared from the Aldridge, Birmingham, Dorridge, Lichfield & Solihull and Sutton Coldfield choirs. They were led by their choir leader Sonia Eyre. Sonia said ‘They loved it and the audience were great too! We had a really nice mix of choir members families supporting and the general public there watching the choir sing.’ The performance was FREE.
We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. Some choir members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! It was touching to see the support of relatives and friends of the choir members, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’ by Guns N’ Roses along with ‘For Once In My Life’ by Stevie Wonder. Beyond the music, this event had a noble cause and was in aid of N/A. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.
Performance location: Halls 19 and 20, National Exhibition Centre, Marston Green, Birmingham B40 1NT

The pieces are broken down so you are able to learn them and you can also download songs to practise at home. Its a great way to release the stresess of life. Singing can help you to releases’ happy hormones’ which make you feel happy and you leave in a better state of mind. It has helped me through a difficult time. It is fun. The people are welcoming and friendly.’ – Angela (Rock Choir member)
