In the heart of the community, the spirit of song came alive at the Simply Christmas Craft Fair, where choir members from Solihull, Dorridge, Bromsgrove, Redditch, and Stratford-upon-Avon gathered to share their love for music. Led by the enthusiastic Hayley Condon, who beamed with pride at her choir’s performance, the event was a delightful showcase of local talent. “I am so proud of everyone who performed; they were brilliant, singing so clearly and nailing the dance moves too!” she exclaimed. Despite the overcast skies, the rain held off just in time for this festive gathering. Many eager choir members arrived early, buzzing with excitement to take the stage. The harmonious blend of voices filled the indoor venue, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for friends, family, and community members who came to support. The audience was treated to a medley of well-loved holiday classics, including “Carol of the Bells,” “Merry Christmas Everyone,” and a beautiful rendition of “The First Noel” paired with “Silent Night.” The choir also brought a contemporary twist to the concert with “Somewhere Only We Know” by Lily Allen and the ever-popular “Hallelujah.” As the singers harmonized, the audience couldn’t help but clap along, filling the room with joy and festive cheer. **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
