The recent concert featuring the Stone, Stafford AM, and Stafford PM choirs was a delightful celebration of music and community. Under the expert guidance of their inspiring choir leader, Beverley Mason, members took to the stage for an unforgettable performance. A special shoutout goes to those who sang their hearts out for the first time in front of a live audience—Beverley couldn’t have been prouder! The atmosphere was filled with warmth as friends and family gathered to support the performers, creating a buzzing environment of encouragement and joy. The concert was held indoors, which suited the partly cloudy weather perfectly, allowing everyone to focus on the music without a worry. As the choir members took their time to settle into their harmony parts, the excitement in the air was palpable. The repertoire was packed with well-loved classics that spanned genres, from the upbeat vibes of "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston to the heartfelt "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen. The audience was treated to a mix of songs including "Green Green Grass," "Shallow," and "Sweet Child of Mine," ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. Beyond the enchanting music, this concert also served a greater purpose. It was organized in aid of a local charity, supporting their vital work in the community. This added another layer of significance to the event, reminding us all of the power of music to bring people together for a good cause. Overall, the concert was a resounding success, filled with smiles, clapping, and even a few children dancing in the aisles. **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
