Any day where we get to sing is a great day and this was no exception! This show for Stoneleigh- Rock Choir for RUSH School in Kenya had Rock Choir members from the Kingston, Hampton Hill, Wimbledon, Epsom (morning) & Richmond choirs. They were led by their choir leader Rebecca Rowe. A particular well done goes to the choir members who were performing for their first time. Rebecca said ‘They loved it and the audience were great too! We had a really nice mix of choir members families supporting and the general public there watching the choir sing.’ The event was FREE.
We were performing inside. We can’t remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was thrilled to be there to sing together. A good few members arrived very early due the excitement of performing and this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! It was brilliant to see a great number of friends and family were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘What Christmas Means To Me‘ by Stevie Wonder and choir favourite ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing’ by Aerosmith. The musical performance raised money and awareness for RUSH. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.
