This event for Dawlish Carnival 2023 featured choir members from the Torquay, Plymouth & Newton Abbot and Teignmouth choirs led by their choir leader Richard Toomer. A particular well done goes to the choir members who were performing for their first time. Richard said ‘They loved it and the audience were great too! We had a really nice mix of choir members families supporting and the general public there watching the choir sing.’ This was FREE to attend.
It was sunny at the time of the show which was nice. Some members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and engaging in a little local retail therapy, additionally this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! Friends and family of the choir members filled the audience, creating an atmosphere of warmth and support. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Shake It Off’ by Taylor Swift along with ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’ by the Buggles. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.
