There is an old Swedish proverb the says ‘Those who wish to sing always find a song’ and as amateurs pursuing our passion it was a pleasure to do this performance for the local community. This concert for Godalming Spring Festival involved choir members from across the area for the Guildford, Godalming & Farnham choirs. They were led by their choir leader Tom George. Tom said ‘I am so proud of everyone who performed, just brilliant they were, sang so clearly and great at the dance moves too!’ The performance was FREE.
It was threatening rain showers before the performance and rain it did for the gig. Some choir members made a day of it arriving hours before the performance and there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. It was great to see a great number of friends and relatives were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘I just haven’t met you yet’ by Michael Buble and ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran.
