This concert for Monmouth Show 2023 involved choir members from across the area for the Monmouth, Chepstow & Abergavenny and Newport choirs. Leading them, was their wonderful choir leader Suzie Anderson. A particular well done goes to the choir members who were performing for their first time. Suzie is so thrilled with the performance went and how we were getting right to the heart of the local community. This was FREE to attend.
It was partly cloudy for the time of the gig. A number of Rock Choir members arrived very early due to the thrill of performing and probably to apply yet more glitter! In addition this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! It was heartwarming to see a great number of friends and relatives were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Loco In Acapulco’ by the Four Tops and choir favourite ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’ by the Buggles.

From the event organiser – The Monmouthshire Show Committee is delighted to announce that the Monmouthshire Show will be back on Sunday 20th August 2023. It will be a fun day out for the whole family with something for everyone; artisan food, local crafts, tradestands and lots to entertain. There will be livestock and many opportunities for people to compete and participate. Perhaps the Monmouthshire Show Lite in the first instance but with ambitions to grow with your help.

The Monmouth, Chepstow & Abergavenny and Newport choirs are a huge part of their community. The local Rock Choir groups are led by singer/pianist Suzie Anderson.
