Any day when we get to sing our hearts out is a great day. This production for Sounds on the Bounds at Ushaw involved choir members from across the area for the Chester-Le-Street & Durham choirs. Leading them, was their wonderful choir leader Rob Slater. Some members were appearing onstage for the first time with the choir. Rob said ‘They loved it and the audience were great too! We had a really nice mix of choir members families supporting and the general public there watching the choir sing.’ This was FREE to attend.
It was partly cloudy for the time of the concert with a little bit of sun (hooray!). there were a few members from other nearby choirs there to help and sing on the day. It was smashing to see a great number of friends and family were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Loco In Acapulco’ by the Four Tops along with the wonderful ‘Video Killed The Radio Star’ by the Buggles. The recital was in aid of Ushaw.
