There is an old Swedish proverb the says ‘Those who wish to sing always find a song’ and as amateurs pursuing our passion it was a pleasure to do this performance for the local community. This gig for Stone Music Festival involved choir members from across the area for the Stone, Stafford AM & PM, Newcastle U Lyme, Leek, Market Drayton choirs. Leading them, was their wonderful choir leader Beverley Mason. Some new choir members were appearing onstage for the very first time! Well done to them! Beverley said ‘The choir members did so well, everyone was truly professional in their performance and deserved to be up there.’ The event was FREE.
It was partly cloudy through the performance. A number of Rock Choir members arrived very early due to the thrill of performing and probably to apply yet more glitter! In addition this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! It was very good to see a great number of friends and relatives were in attendance. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Loco In Acapulco’ by the Four Tops and the wonderful ‘Shake It Off’ by Taylor Swift. Huge thanks to everyone who helped.
