Any day where we get to sing is a great day! This performance for Whittington Moor Evening Concert involved choir members from across the area for the West Sheffield Morning, Chesterfield Late, Chesterfield Morning, Rotherham, Matlock & Worksop choirs led by their choir leader Tom Rigby. A big well done to those members fro whom it was their first live performance Tom is so thrilled with the performance went and how we were getting right to the heart of the local community. The performance was FREE.

We can’t quite remember what the weather was doing on the day but everyone was happy to be there to sing together at the time of the performance. this concert featured members from a lot of local choirs and it took some time for the members to get into position in their harmony parts! Friends and relatives of the choir members filled the audience, creating an atmosphere of warmth and support. The choir performed songs from their recent repertoire such as ‘Wake Me Up before you Go Go’ by Wham and ‘Carol of the Bells’ by (or based on a theme by) Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovich. Beyond the enchanting music, this performance had another purpose. It was organized in aid of Whittington Moor Methodist Church.

The West Sheffield Morning, Chesterfield Late, Chesterfield Morning, Rotherham, Matlock & Worksop choirs are a huge part of their community. Vocal coach Tom Rigby leads the local West Sheffield Morning, Chesterfield Late, Chesterfield Morning, Rotherham, Matlock & Worksop choirs.
